Randy Edelman “How Could I Let You Go”
“How Could I Let You Go” by the audacious celestially relevant composer Randy Edelman (Ft. Chioma) was just unveiled via Tribeca Records on the magic date of 2/22/22.
The song begins softly, the sound of Randy’s piano enmeshed perfectly with a pensive and pondering lyricism hacking back to an old love. The storytelling is from a lovelorn protagonist who has not accepted their plight at the demise of a romantic relationship. The warm tones of this song combined with the lyrical finesse allows the listener to quickly empathize with the protagonist’s journey. The track flitters between emotions both sonically and lyrically and then reaches a crescendo during its chorus.
Randy Edelman’s wide musical repertoire in the mastery of his piano playing goes far beyond the average artist. Hailed for over 100 blockbuster film scores including that of “Last of the Mohicans”, “My Cousin Vinny”, “Ghostbusters ll”, “Dragonheart”, and an unbelievable array of others. Randy is also responsible for writing the themes for the hit series MacGyver, the Olympics, and NASA as well as songs including “A Weekend In New England” by Barry Manilow, “Isn’t it a Shame” by Patti LaBelle, “My Place” by Nelly, and an endless amount of others.
“How Could I Let You Go” is a mix of soul, funk, and pop. It has that adrenaline kick and has the ability to change the way we feel even if it’s just for a moment. Randy’s oblique and touching lyrics and music constantly evokes impassioned and fervent emotions….as a matter of fact if you wish to get to know Randy Edelman…..just listen to his songs and you’ll quickly become old friends ….
