Review: Chelsea Table & Stage- THE AMERICAN RELICS Live 12/29/23 in NYC
Introduced by the record label owner of Tribeca Records John Pasquale, THE AMERICAN RELICS took the stage and captured the hearts of the audience. They performed originals and covers as they successfully navigated their debut at the trendiest spot in Manhattan, as well as their first gig together as a band.
This has been an astounding year for the faction. They were signed to Tribeca Records and have released two songs that went viral on YouTube. Those two songs “The Eyes of 1969” and “We’ve Got to Start it All Again” are currently being played on KISS FM and NPR Radio all over the nation. So, it’s perfect that they should end the year with their first live gig in an upscale venue.
The band founded by frontman John Gitano is a conglomerate of world class musicians and vocalists who all share the same music sensibility. Their influences come from the music of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s but is arranged in a way that makes their sound also relevant in today’s music industry. Members of the band include Lead singer/vocalist/songwriter John Gitano, Nelson Montana on bass and backing vocals, Josh Salant on drums and sound engineering, Neal Lazar on lead guitar/ backing vocals and rhythm guitar, Patti Jarman on guitar and vocals, and renowned opera singer Adrienne Dugger on vocals.
The band showcased covers including “Ticket to Ride” by The Beatles, “Gimme Shelter” by The Rolling Stones, and “Alright Now” by Free. Their originals included “Never Make Love Again”, “Treasure”, “My Impala” and others. Their encore and climax had the crowd out of their seats, singing and dancing and having a blast….
