SohoJohnny: Everyone Loves A Holiday Party…and SohoJohnny Does it Right
Gala, Soirée, Extravaganza…..All of those wrapped up under the Christmas tree took place last night in one of the most significant locations in Manhattan, Meatpacking plaza who owes its name and aesthetic to the industries that once called it home. The 5th floor Triangle Loft was the scene of the SohoJohnny’s Annual Holiday party. Aside from it having an array of constant gourmet offerings accented by a spectacular well rounded open bar, it was filled with music, laughter, entertainment and beautiful people, rockers and celebrities. It was the kind of event you read about, a wild yet sophisticated New York City prequal to the countdown to Santa and the new year.
Everyone attending was dazzled with the sparkle of the holiday. Some of the guests included members of the Drifters(“Under the Boardwalk”, “This Magic Moment”), the Delfonics (“La-La”, “Didn’t I”), DRMAGDN (“Something”), “Profiles” late night talk show host Mickey Burns, actress Julianne Michelle, Lourdez Biggio owner of “What’s Happening NYC?” and award winning film producer, Neal Lazar of THE AMERICAN RELICS, entertainment ambassador Errol Rappaport, singer Quinn Lemly, socialites Lorraine Silvetz, Jessy S. Moya, promoter Al Magliano, political leader DeCosta Headly, fine artists, comedians, dancers, and a barrage of others.
Stiletto & The Saxman East Coast Music Hall of Fame Inductees (Doreen and Joey Arminio), provided the entertainment. Both veterans of the music industry, they do sets filled with the classics of the 50’s and 60’s and are widely respected all along the East Coast. DJ Mike Nappi (Musicflex) was on hand all night providing the sounds of disco (SoHo’s fav)….and of course SohoJohnny made a splash singing “Take a Letter Maria” which he’s gotten down spot on.
