With Wonderama flashing on the huge New Years Eve Big Apple Billboard, in the deepest heart of New York City’s iconic Times Square, the electrifying vibe illuminates the scene brighter than the lights of Broadway. The presence seems most perfect when the seeds lie in the past and life is rendered flawless when we look towards the future.

Standing here in the heart of Times Square in front of the big stage, amidst the giant boom cameras and the Big Apple New Years Billboard flashing Wonderama, how does it feel being part of the most iconic children’s show on the planet in the most iconic city on the planet?

David: I came down here the first day and the stage, the sound, the set-up, down in the studio..to be in the heart of Times Square …I was speechless. I couldn’t believe the energy, the sound, the vibe. Wonderama is a home-grown New York show in Times Square, the crossroads of the world, I can’t explain it. It’s so exciting.

And your the host…

David: I am so grateful to be able to do that.

SohoJohnny: And it’s grass roots, family values, and children… it doesn’t get any better.

David: That’s my background. I come from a big family, variety show is my history, so to carry that tradition forward, but also to stand on the show of giants like Bob McAllister, Sunny Fox, Sandy Becker, the original hosts of Wonderama….to be the host, I hope I can take some of those skills, as a singer myself, performer and entertainer we want to entertain so we can educate as well. We’re all about kids and giving them a platform to shine and inspire their peers. That’s what Wonderama is about. I always end the show by saying “Never Lose Your Sense of Wonder.” I think that sums up what Wonderama is. And they have great bands here like AniMaze X, and to have SohoJohnny here with us…is so cool. It’s a great partnership, I’m excited for the future.

SohoJohnny: I can say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
